Modular Kitchen- A Quick Read From kitchen Interior Designers

A kitchen is an important aspect of any home. If you love to cook and serve a delicious cuisine or Maggie or just a tea, wouldn’t you love to be doing it in a well-planned kitchen? A kitchen interior designer can style your kitchen in many ways. One of the very popular design styles is modular kitchens.

A modular kitchen is a concept developed around the 1960s. The basic principle of a modular kitchen that a kitchen interior designer has to followdeals with the different kitchen modules and their fitting in the best possible way. A movable unit for a modular kitchen assembly has wheels and it is removable from a space provided below a countertop.

A modular kitchen is formed in the three stages; design, installation, and maintenance/service.

Design

For a kitchen interior designer, the design is the most critical part of the process. To design a modular kitchen one has to understand the needs and then design accordingly. You can opt for L, U, or C-shaped kitchen depending upon available space. While going for any design you need to consider the space that you have, storage space you are looking for, and the ventilation scheme of the total kitchen room.

Storage space is one of the important aspects while designing a modular kitchen. Have a clear understanding of how much storage you require. It will be easy to decide the size of the cabinets accordingly.

You can choose any of the design styles and materials. Though the modular kitchen is a contemporary concept, you can combine antique and modern looks and make a kitchen of your own choice.

Installation

Once you are done with the design, you will have to install all the modules in a pitch-perfect way. Make sure to finish the pre-installation work such as electrical connections, plumbing, appliances plan, etc.

While installing the cabinets, it is important to make sure that both the flooring and countertop are in harmony to avoid any fitting glitch. It is recommended to have a smooth floor surface. This avoids the use of excess packaging while installing the carcass and adds long life to it.

Maintenance and service

Maintenance of the kitchen modules is different for different materials that you use. To maintain the shine of stainless steel frames, you can wipe it regularly with a baking soda solution. You can use vinegar to wash porcelain sinks. What you can do in general is to make cleaning a priority and avoid sticky residue on the joints and other surfaces.

Don’t forget to get regular service from expert kitchen interior designers to make your modular kitchen live longer.
